Rooms

Rooms are organizational containers for entities. They group Rectangles, Objects, and Paths into meaningful sections of a Document. If you have used artboards in design tools, Rooms play a similar role: they define a named area and the content that belongs inside it.

Use Rooms for level sections, building interiors, repeated encounter spaces, camera regions, or any area your game should treat as a unit.

Placing Rooms

  1. Select the Room tool. Keyboard shortcut: A.
  2. Click and drag in the document workspace to draw the Room.
  3. Move and resize the Room as needed.
